I paint with the intention of capturing a moment. Oftentimes they are simple but significant. My daughter in her favorite striped shirt with her hair falling down. I like to paint from my own life while adding a certain anonymity to allow the piece to become whoever the viewer sees in it.

 

One of my favorite things about being an artist is someone telling me my art reminds them of someone or something important to them. I hope it brings happiness, color and a place to connect your own memories to. Since in the end that’s all we have.
